T065Bs KELȽOLEMEĆEN
June 19, 2025
On June 19th, after dropping two of our BRUVS systems in TIU,IL,ES (Tumbo Channel), one on the south end and the other toward the northwest end, we left the area to let them do their work. As we were heading out, we noticed a small cluster of vessels near the entrance of the channel and spotted a couple of fins. A small pod of orcas passed by, so we waited and let them go through. We got a few photos and confirmed the ID as the T065Bs with the distinct matriarch’s dorsal nick, T065B/Chunk. Once they had passed, we continued up toward the Belle Chain Islets and Anniversary Island to check the two haul outs. After finishing our counts there, we went back to recover our BRUVS in TIU,IL,ES.
All photos are taken with a 200-600 zoom lens.
